I finally got my Pyroclasts and Contemptor dreadnought!
So now I'm pumped  to work on my Salamanders again!
I love the models, detailed and cool looking!

The Siege Breakers Legio IV

I've used sentinels of Terra supplement not only try it out but to try a different play style.
I have been using not only one but three different types of units that I have never played with!
So this is something different I would say.
Iron Warriors are Siege Breakers so what I have selected for my 1850 pts list is Drop pod assault, and Heavy hitting stuff.

My new units are: Centurion Devastator squad, vindicators and Thunderfire cannons and I'm using a few different HQs to toy around with. The idea is to use templates and make use of the Bolter Drill doctrine.

Here comes a Picture- dump of my WIP for the Iron warriors, notice it's work in progress so bear with me guys!

This is the Legio IV's comander (Kantor conversion)

A fully functional commander if I wanna go with something different.

So this little bunny-guy with an old Khorne head, is now Lysander.

This awesome looking shield is made of an old Bretonian shield and a necklace part.  

His cape, it came out nice if think.

It is very unique what the grey knight kit come with good parts to convert with, can I see a chaplain?

These guys are my Centurion Devastator squad with my own converted Grav- cannons and amplifiers . 

A simple OSL for making it look glow and I went with green because my Plasma is blue and Volkite and other microwave- guns are redish.

SO, here it is!
Thunderfire cannons! I will make a great little post in the future about these guys when I have played a few more games with them.. want I can say from now is that they are rock solid.

I took my time to base the most of the models right away instead of waiting a year with it.
It made a lot of impression of the models rightly so because one-way-coloured.

With the allied detachment of Iron Hands with:

5 Stern guard in a drop pod

If I have the points I will have some of the pods with beacons or at least one.

Models that I have for swap out and try thing are:
More scouts (snipers)
A regular Space Marine Captain with Power Sword so with a simple conversion he could really be any special HQ

Lysander

Librarian (Converted(soon) to be Tigi)

Few more Tacticals and heavy Weapons, they are suppose to be Destroyer Squad with converted Jump- Packs so I converted the heavy weapons from GK box to look like the missile launcher that is used with Phosphex bombs and Rad Missiles.
A Dreadnought, haven't decided what type yet but a Siege Breaker- type.

40k Burnout, Venoms and Iron Warriors

So yesterday I accidentally posted my BIG AND LONG draft for two posts!!
I will start from the beginning now!

In a desperate try to avoid a 40k burnout I bought two pieces of Dark Eldar Venoms for an (right now) Allied Detachment.

First off, these kits are amazing, a small little flying boat with lots of spiky bits. I love the idea of them and they look absolutely better than the Vypers! 
The kit come with three little crazy women attached to the flying terror.
I have decided to not have them on right now because I will have Warriors in them and I found a excellent use of them for some conversion to my Harlequins. These skimmers are a bit small as the transport for the quins but I don't ever think my opponents will mind. If they do, hey too bad.
I will start off with finding some equivalent Eldar weapons to make it more durable to use both for Dark Eldar and the quins.
I will post soon-ish some pictures when I actually start doing something with these awesome gunboats.

The second desperate thing I did to avoid the burnout was to actually buy World of Warcraft: Warlords of Draenor. I know stupid idea but it work amazingly well to try to put out some energy on something else for some days and be fully recovered and start paint hard again.

I had put some work for fully paint up and play Iron Warriors but wait pre heresy! Yes! Go loyal or go home!

Basement game 4

Played a 1500 PTS game a few Fridays back.
Alpha legion vs sentinels  of terra supplement and as you know now, Iron Warriors.
Tested out centurions in this game  for the first time which didn't  do much but they was the key to the real hero: The lonely Thunderfire Cannon was the workhorse! More than 25 % of the damage done lobbing out the small blast and sunder the earth under the traitor marines and took out 10 marines in a really lucky shot that my centurions had glanced to wreck by disabled the engine with their Graviton weapons.

After that the 20th Legion's moral was at the bottom.

The vindicators got blown away it's weapon in return after exploded another rhino and with it three 1k sons members. The havocs with four lascannons went on hunt and took a few marines down with point blank shots out from cover.

The drop pods and the commander was just there to show off and being a real annoyance in the deployment zone. Rocking down five Tactical Terminators with the teleport and used their bolter drill and took down a few man and went on standby with their powerfists. 

Ahirman used Breath of chaos and toasted three of them in a single phase which was a risky move for the 4th legion knowing their objective,  get to both side of the bunker and slay Ahirman.

So they had to sacrifice a few Veterans for the mission and lucky enough the commander showed of right in time for helping them and inspiring them to a glorious combat that can only end in bloodshed! 

With only two veterans left the charged the remaining 1k sons members and knowing they did their last moment in service to the emperor.

The commander was so inspiring that they went berserk and put out more attacks  to stall their opponent and tie them up for the rest of the battle. 

Ahirman had no chance for five hard hitting powerfist attacks coming at him and was slain like a dog. Receiving victory with 9-0 points scored to the 4th Legion.

Wow what happened there, that was not the intended with this battle report.

I asked on the chat at Warmaster.com how I could evolve my blog and I few of the good guys wanted more battle reports  and better pictures!

I agree to both, currently I live in a mancave in the basement until I get a new apartment to rent.

So the room us very dark and it makes the pictures look weird even with full light. All over the place so you guys have to forgive me until I get a better place to take pictures.

I would love to make more battle reports, that I have been posted before I'm too shot and no details. I will add more of this in the future. Or I will film it all on the phone instead and make use of the content in another  way, time will tell.
