Long time no see.

It has been TOO long since I updated a shit here!
I've been working on some stuff guys.
But the last months has been really rough.

I'm done with the Business school now and I had this project that I've been working on, that took three months! So little time went off for the 40king stuff. But I will post some pictures of the work and games i remembered to take photos on.

I have a girlfriend. She the the most beautiful person I know AND she's supporting my hobby! Can it get better? I'm even thinking of moving in together with her after the summer. Maybe even move to another city for her. that's how much I love her.

Highligts and perks since I updated last.
I won the 40k tournament at CalCon 2014 with Eldar. 1500pts I had two relatively easy games and one hard.
The first game was against a hard hitting Blood angels list with lots of terminators and death company. relatively competitive but he was easly out outmaneuvered by my Jetbikes and Warp spiders.
The second was between Space marines. It went well. Two flyers and lots of terminators and tanks. A very shooty list but like i always do, try to isolate all units and gun them down with Jetbikes and Warp spiders : tagteam. But the highlight was when the mantach assaulted missile devsquad and got a krak right in the face and missed the cover save the first time and did it on the reroll, assaulted in and took down 4 of them (the sargant was killed the round before).
The last game was between Stormlord Necrons allied with tau. TAU REALLY! OKEY NO NERDRAGE NEEDED ON MY OWN BLOG ;) but with the tricky little bikes I was contesting all of his objectives and won with my own in the backfield.

I was lucky to pull in the neighbour in to 40k and he went with Necrons.
We had a blast painting and gaming together, late nights and a lot of beer. I really needed it when I lived in Kalmar 'cuz I was so alone without my real gameclub Vimmerby Wargming but I was still a member in the Kalmar Gaming Community.

World eater pre heresy

Hey guys, just finished reading hours heresy trilogy. So i came up with this little idea. I know it's not pre heresy armour but I wanted to test the paint job on some space marines just to test paint white. They are not finished. Just base coated the white and glued on the shoulder pads.

First I need to buy new colours..
The white paint was not the best with clumps and stuff.. urg..
This is a project that I'm gonna be running for a time now.

My plan is to play a 1000 pts with the chaos marines codex. I'm not sure because I like plague marines more than berzerkers..
So maybe death guard with garro as commander. 
I bought an old rhino a few months back and now it's the time to use it I think.

Salamanders vs Alpha Legion

This weekend I went to my home Vimmerby.
I first had a game with my cousin.
1500 pts of zombies, plague marines and zombies. Great.
Thanks god that my cousin forgets stuff when we are playing like feel no pain.
Mission: The relic

The first two rounds I was afraid, two full units of fearless zombies ( I smelled tarpit) plus elite guys behind.
70 something models vs 32.
His hellbrute with lascanon did everything that was wrong. We had a big laugh about it on his cost.
Two fully loaded land raiders with tactical squads backed up by two heavy terminators and librarians rolled upp turn two and rapid fire everything and the terminator went on the plague marines.
Turn 4 he gave up after only 12 zombies left and dome plague marines and typhus and his bodyguard.
I forgot to take the last pictures.

Now I have seen what the biomancy tree do to power armour. Wow. Great powers, even the primaris power smite.
Two games will be rolled upp tomorrow with the same list. I will take a picture of it and write down the army list soon.

Guys... what do you think of my new Titan?

Thoughts: the librarian

Okey, at the morning before work I sat tweaked on my 2 land raider 1500 list that fritz inspired me to work on a year ago. Now with the new codex I needed to do a new one.
In the old codex I had cassius as Hq. Now I just realised that a libby can take biomass you! Wow! That is huge in a gaming club then most of the guys plays of course MEQ.
The biomancy tree offers alot of Ap 2 stuff and on a lvl 2 libby it's a chance to get iron arm. Suddenly a libby can be the tank in a terminator squad and hit at initiative, I like power sword + the strength.

With this I'm not saying my libby will do the job for me but I have a chance to do just the little extra that I need in a list with only 27-+ models.
I will post some pictures of the list and full detail on it when it's painted and ready for a game. I will play two games in the upcoming weekend. So I hope it will be interesting.

Spelveckan 2013

In Sweden we have this big event for all the game club's, it's called "Spelveckan" translation: the game week .
Our gaming club hosted three tournaments, settlers of catan, warhammer 40k and magic.
I've posted some pictures from when I remembered to use the phone.

Wraithknight progress

The first part in the building process is finished.
The bottom part. To make him stand better on the claw I drilled though the whole base and the claw and used a wire. Glued it together with a bit of greenstuff too.

I cut off the small joints in the legs to pose him as I wanted. I must say, it was harder I thought to make it look okay but after a few minutes of frustration it went as I wanted.

New from the mailbox

I can't tell you guys how happy I am right now!!

I have now moved to Kalmar and I will study for a year in a salesmen school. So now then everything is good and I'm ready to start write post again.

New from the mailbox

My terminators came today. I ordered two boxes. I was really disappointed with the kit, it only had one hammer each.
My new flight stands to my jet bikes arrived as well.
Also, yesterday a delivery car came with my new kr multicase boxes came, so now all my jet bikes can fit in one case along with the vypers.
Plus a case for my stormraven.

Eldar thoughts

Wow a great week/weekend apart from that I was sick and had a cold early in the week.
I have now played three games with my eldar with the new codex.
Both with my jetbikes and wraithguard guard and a game with randomly selected units just for testing. The bladestorm and monofilament is freaking amazing!!!
Without fortune wraithguard units dies like flies unfortunately. Too bad you couldn't select powers with a farseer or at least with Eldlrad ! He's not worth it any more in my opinion. Too bad, I liked him alot.

Two of the games was really close. One win and one loss.
The third game was with my jet bikes with a win on turn 3. My opponent didn't have much left so he called it.

And with a big smile I'm sitting here and putting everything back to the slots and cases.

New from the mailbox

I bought a really cheap assault on black reach dreadnought from eBay.
I got an dilema, should I paint it up for my grey Knights or salamanders?
If I'll put him in to my grey knight list he will get two autocannons.

Or I'll wait until the new space marines codex comes out (as the rumours says, next month) and see if he will be of any use there. Maybe he can fit in a sweet list with the other dreadnoughts it will be my 5th one.
The time will tell.

Fire prism

I plugged in two magnets on the new fire prism I bought. I like the work Shawn from btp does on his waveserpents so will give it a try!
And now I got the opportunity to kit it out like a fire prism, falcon and a wave serpent!
If the price difference is not that big I will keep buying this kit because I got like 25 different heavy weapons.

Grey Knights dreadknight conversion.

I was so tired of the big.. baby carrier dreadnought thingy..

After many chops, green stuffing and magnetization this is what I came up with. The front is from the blood angel librarian dreadnought.
I will put up pictures when he is done too.
The best way I have found for the dreadknight is to equip him with the heavy incinerator and personal teleporter. Backed up with interceptors with either incinerators or psycannon and shunt forward then it's time to isolate units like heavy weapons team, Dev squads and havocs. If I got luck on the grand strategy or the mission I'll let him sit on a objective turn 5.
